Glossary
The Indonesian academic terms used across Edunara and this guide, with what each one means.
Edunara’s English screens use English names; the Indonesian screens, campus regulations and PDDikti use the Indonesian ones. Both are listed here.
Studying

| KRS (Kartu Rencana Studi) | KRS, course list | The courses a student takes in one semester. |
| KRS paket | Semester package | A fixed set of courses for a curriculum semester, taken as one bundle (Package or self-service KRS). |
| KRS mandiri | Self-service KRS | A course list the student builds, approved by their academic advisor. |
| KHS (Kartu Hasil Studi) | Gradebook (per semester) | The semester’s results: grades, IP. |
| SKS (satuan kredit semester) | Credits | The weight of a course; also used for the credit limit per semester. |
| IP / IPS | IP, semester GPA | The grade-point average of one semester. |
| IPK | IPK, cumulative GPA | The grade-point average over all counted grades. |
| Semester Ganjil / Genap | Odd / Even semester | The two regular terms of an academic year. |
| Semester Pendek / Antara | Compact semester | A short term between regular semesters, for retakes. |
| UTS / UAS | Mid / final exam | |
| Ujian susulan | Make-up exam | An exam taken later for a valid reason. |
| Kelas pengganti | Make-up class | A replacement session for a cancelled one. |
| Masa studi | Maximum study period | The most semesters a student may take before review for drop-out. |
| Cuti akademik | Leave of absence | A semester off, approved by the Head of Program and the admin. |
| MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) | Activities | Internships, exchanges and other activities converted into course grades. |

| Kaprodi | Head of Program | Runs a study program. |
| Dekan / Kepala fakultas | Head of Faculty | |
| Dosen wali / PA | Academic advisor | The lecturer who approves an advisee’s KRS. |
| Kemahasiswaan | Student affairs | Validates achievements, among other things. |
Money

| DPP (Dana Pengembangan Pendidikan) | Development fee | Paid once on acceptance. |
| BPP | Base fee | The fixed part of each semester’s bill. |
| UKT (Uang Kuliah Tunggal) | Flat tuition | One amount per semester, whatever the credits (Fees). |
| VA | Virtual account | A personal bank account number for paying bills. |
Thesis, graduation and reporting

| Sidang | Defense | The thesis examination. |
| SK (Surat Keputusan) | SK, decree | The official letter that assigns or decides something. |
| Yudisium | Declaring graduates | The decision that a student has graduated. |

| SKL (Surat Keterangan Lulus) | Graduation certificate | Printed from Student Services › Graduates. |
| SKPI | Diploma supplement | Achievements and activities listed alongside the diploma. |
| PIN | Graduation number | The national diploma number. |
| Prestasi | Achievements | Competition wins and awards (Achievements). |
| PDDikti / Neo Feeder | PDDikti reporting | The national higher-education database and the tool campuses report through. |
| AKM (Aktivitas Kuliah Mahasiswa) | Term activity | Each student’s standing per term: active, on leave, non-active. |
| Berita acara | Exam report | The record of an exam session, signed by the proctor. |
