4. Academic rules
Campus-wide academic settings, degree-level rules and credit limits, rubrics and cards.
These pages hold the rules every study program uses unless it has its own override (study programs). They start with sensible values (What a new campus starts with) — review them before the first semester.
Academic Settings
Each setting has a details button explaining how it works with an example.
| Tab | What you set |
|---|---|
| Academic rules | Minimum and maximum credits per semester, maximum credits in the Compact semester, the semester self-service KRS starts from, maximum teaching load per lecturer, credits to graduate, maximum semesters, minimum attendance, credits to start a thesis, diploma-supplement points to graduate. |
| Grading | The grade scale (letter, score range, grade point); the retake grade rule — highest grade, latest attempt, or capped at a chosen grade; make-up exam rules — how many days a student has to request one and the maximum make-up score; default diploma-supplement points per activity type. |
| Scheduling | Minutes per credit (default 50), teaching weeks per semester (default 14), exam durations for theory and practice courses, the gap between exam shifts, active teaching days, blocked periods (lunch, Friday prayer), and the maximum number of students starting class at the same time. |
| Syllabus defaults | The default course policies — attendance, late submission, academic integrity, communication — that every syllabus starts with. |
| Operations | Maintenance mode (only admins can log in; can be scheduled with a warning first) and Emergency online mode (switches the whole campus online, for example during a disaster). |
Changing rules later
Some rules protect students already admitted. For example, raising the credits needed to graduate only applies to students admitted after the change.
Degree Level Defaults
Setup › Degree Level Defaults holds the national rules per degree level (credits, study length, minimum GPA, credit ceiling) and the credit limits per semester by IPS. Edit the IPS ladder to match your campus policy; the first-year limit of 20 credits is national.
Default Rubrics
Setup › Default Rubrics — the performance levels and the ready-made rubric criteria per assessment type that lecturers start from.
ID & Exam Cards
Setup › ID & Exam Cards — the layout of student ID cards, exam cards and proctor cards: QR code or barcode, card languages, the form code, and the notes printed on the exam card.
