8. Course packages and offerings
Which courses run each semester, bundled into the package each cohort takes.
Two ideas
- A course offering is a course opened in one specific term — “CS3001 in 2026 Odd”. Classes, enrollments and grades all belong to an offering.
- A course package is the set of offerings a study program expects one cohort to take in one curriculum semester — “Computer Science · Semester 3 · 2026 Odd”. Students in their early semesters enroll by taking their package.
Offerings are created for you when you put courses into a package, so in practice you work with packages.
Create the packages for a term
- Semester › Course Packages › Generate Packages — pick the year, the term and the curriculum semesters. Edunara creates one Draft package per study program and semester, filled with the courses whose suggested semester matches.
- Review each draft — add or remove courses (the head of program can edit their own program’s packages). Check the total credits.
- Publish — select the drafts and publish them. Students can only enroll into published packages.
Once published, a package can’t be edited, unpublished or deleted. Clear packages only removes Draft packages for the chosen term.
Course offerings
Semester › Course Offerings lists every offering per term, with its status (Open, Closed, Cancelled). Open one to:
- Also open to programs — let students of other study programs take it.
- Retake only — only students retaking the course may take it. Offerings in a Compact semester are retake-only by default.
Close Semester (at the end of a term) also lives here — see Closing the semester.
When students choose their own courses
From the semester set in Academic rules (self-service KRS from semester), students build their own course list (KRS) from the term’s offerings instead of taking a package. The offerings still come from the packages and offerings you set up here.
