9. Online learning
Online sessions and their limits, the Live Classes page, and switching the whole campus online in an emergency.
Online sessions
A lecturer can run a session online:
- On the session, add the meeting link — a Zoom link opens inside Edunara; any other link opens the external page.
- Switch the session to online.
Each course has a maximum number of online sessions for lecture and lab (Courses), following the national rules on online learning:
- Within the limit — the lecturer switches the session online directly.
- Over the limit — it needs the Head of Program’s approval.
An online session doesn’t hold its room, so the room is free for others.
Live Classes
Live Classes (for students and lecturers) lists every class with an online session this week, from today, with the session times. Click a class to open it and join.
Emergency online mode
For a disaster, pandemic or other campus closure, an admin turns on Emergency online mode in Academic Settings › Operations:
- every scheduled session and exam from today runs online, across all departments;
- labs that need the campus (studio, workshop, wet lab) can’t run online — they are postponed instead;
- past sessions and sessions with locked attendance are untouched; rooms stay reserved;
- everyone sees a banner, and sessions generated while the mode is on are created online;
- set an announced end date and a reference — usually the rector’s circular letter (surat edaran).
Turning it off puts sessions and exams back to the delivery mode they had before, and postponed labs return to scheduled. If the announced end date passes, sessions switched earlier stay online until an admin presses Restore now.
